History

The Unit was formed at Frances Bay in Darwin 10 October 1944. The Unit constructed 10 explosives buildings, 4 explosives storehouse buildings and 82 bomb dumps. Detachment 'A' Chemical Warfare Section was transferred from 5 Replenishing Centre located at the 88 Mile to this Unit in January 1945 and relocation to 14 Mile finalised 7 May 1945. The Unit was disbanded 14 December 1945.,
